Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add the melted butter and lemon juice to the egg mixture, mixing until combined.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until no flour streaks remain.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
