Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and granulated sugar, continuing to beat until well combined.
Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.
Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. The dough will be soft and slightly sticky.
Shape the Cookies: Using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip or a cookie scoop, pipe or drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. If desired, sprinkle the tops with colored sugar or sprinkles.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden. The centers should remain pale.
Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
