Instructions
Preparation Steps
Combine strawberries with 1/2 cup sugar and champagne in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese with the remaining sugar.
Fold in the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
Dip ladyfingers in the strawberry-champagne mixture and layer them on the bottom of a serving dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then add a layer of strawberries.
Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone and topped with fresh strawberries.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, garnish with mint leaves or a sprinkle of cocoa powder before serving.
