Instructions
Preparation Steps
Prepare a 9x9 inch pan by lining it with parchment paper.
In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, and a pinch of salt. Stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
Once boiling, add heavy cream and continue to stir until the mixture reaches 240°F on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and pour the caramel into the prepared pan.
Let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Wrap each caramel in wax paper to store them individually and keep them fresh.
