Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat butter and 1.5 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Gradually blend in the flour mixture until just combined.
In a small bowl, mix 0.25 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll each ball in cinnamon sugar, and place on baking sheets 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
