Instructions
Preparation Steps
Place chicken breasts, carrots, celery, chicken broth, salt, and pepper into the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.
Remove chicken breasts and shred them with two forks, then return shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, melted butter, and milk to make the dumpling batter.
Drop dumpling batter by spoonfuls over the simmering chicken mixture in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes until the dumplings are cooked through and fluffy.
