Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey, breaking it apart with a spoon. Add the diced onion and bell pepper (if using) and cook until the vegetables are softened.
Add Sloppy Joe Sauce: Stir in the sloppy joe sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for a few minutes until heated through.
Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Assemble the Casserole: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the meat mixture evenly. Top with the biscuit pieces, spreading them out to cover the meat as much as possible.
Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
