In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 234°F on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanut butter chips, marshmallow creme, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the top with chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, gently pressing them into the fudge.
