This Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf offers the rich flavors of a classic sandwich in a comforting meatloaf form. Perfect for an easy dinner packed with savory beef, melted cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions and green bell peppers until soft, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well but do not overwork the meat.
Fold in the sautéed onions and peppers.
Press half of the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Layer the shredded provolone cheese evenly over the meat, then top with the remaining meat mixture.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For an extra Philly twist, serve with a side of sautéed mushrooms or spicy giardiniera.
