Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; move to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, refrigerate dough for 24 hours before baking.
