Instructions
Preparation Steps
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add sugar, corn syrup, and salt to the melted butter; stir continuously until mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and crushed peppermint candies, reserving some peppermint for topping.
Pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet and spread evenly. Sprinkle reserved peppermint candies on top and press gently.
Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
