Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in peppermint extract.
Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips if using.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
