Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the peanut butter until well incorporated.
Combine the flour and salt in a separate bowl; gradually blend into the peanut butter mixture.
Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Sprinkle chopped Reese's peanut butter cups evenly over the hot shortbread and gently press them into the surface.
Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
