Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add peanut butter and honey to the melted butter. Stir until smooth and combined.
Remove the mixture from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
Pour the rice cereal into a large mixing bowl.
Pour the peanut butter mixture over the rice cereal and stir quickly until evenly coated.
Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Allow to cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Perfect for snack time or lunchboxes.
