Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter with an electric mixer until creamy.
Add the peanut butter and continue to beat until well combined and smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated.
Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt; beat on high speed until light and fluffy. Add more cream if the frosting is too thick.
Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days. Before using chilled frosting, bring it to room temperature and rewhip if necessary.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by modifying the amount of powdered sugar. Perfect for cakes and cupcakes, this frosting also freezes well.
