Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and grease lightly.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and let it cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and melted butter until smooth.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drop half of the Nutella by spoonfuls over the batter and swirl gently with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and Nutella.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
