Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips and toasted pecans.
Drop rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are nicely browned. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to a week or can be frozen for longer storage.
