Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan thoroughly.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the lemon juice and lemon zest.
Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet ingredients, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared bundt pan.
Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
