In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
In a large bowl, mix the softened vanilla ice cream and Kahlua until smooth. Pour the mixture into the cooled pie crust and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
In a separate bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the frozen pie.
Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.

For best results, make this pie a day in advance to allow it to set completely in the freezer.
