Instructions
Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce:
Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey (or maple syrup), and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.
Thicken Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to simmer, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook the Noodles:
Boil Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Steak and Shrimp:
Season: Lightly season the steak slices and shrimp with salt and pepper.
Heat Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cook Steak: Add the steak and cook for about 2-3 minutes until it's browned but still slightly pink in the center. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Combine: Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked noodles and pour the teriyaki sauce over everything. Toss well to combine and ensure everything is coated in the sauce.
Heat Through: Cook everything together for an additional 1-2 minutes, until heated through.
Serve:
Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top.
Enjoy: Serve the steak and shrimp teriyaki noodles hot, offering extra teriyaki sauce on the side if desired.
