Instructions
Preheat the Oven and Prepare Pans:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars:
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, beating until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Shape the Cookies:
Instead of making round cookies, take small handfuls of dough and roll them into long, thin shapes, similar to the size and thickness of a finger or a breadstick. This will make them ideal for dipping.
Place them on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie as they will spread a little while baking.
Bake:
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cookies are golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve your Chocolate Chip Cookie Dippers with a glass of milk or alongside your favorite warm beverage for dipping.
