This creamy and delicious Easy Shrimp Alfredo is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with tender shrimp and a rich homemade Alfredo sauce served over fettuccine.
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
Season the Alfredo sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet, toss to combine and heat through.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
You can substitute fettuccine with linguine or spaghetti depending on your preference. For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
