Preparation Steps
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir constantly, simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Toss the cooked fettuccine pasta with the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
Serve immediately while warm, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. Fresh parsley can add a nice touch of color and freshness.
