Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Remove from heat and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
Heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil using a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
Fry the churros until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Mix 0.5 cup sugar with cinnamon. Roll warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Serve warm with chocolate sauce or your favorite dip.
Notes
For an extra treat, try dipping your churros in melted dark chocolate or dulce de leche.
