Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, baking soda, and salt.
Add the all-purpose flour and fold gently until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra moist muffins, add a tablespoon of sour cream to the batter.
