Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the flour to the butter mixture and stir until combined; press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden and set.
While crust is baking, melt the caramels with heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
Pour the caramel mixture over the baked crust. Crumble the remaining dough on top, then sprinkle with sea salt.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For best results, store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
