Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
Gradually blend in the dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
Fold in the butterscotch chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
