Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3-5 minutes. This ensures that the pineapple starts cooking immediately and gets a nice caramelization.
Prepare the Pineapple:
If you haven't already, peel, core, and cut the pineapple into rings or chunks, depending on your preference.
Season the Pineapple:
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. If you’re using butter, brush the pineapple pieces lightly with melted butter first, then coat them in the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, ensuring they are well covered.
Air Fry:
Place the pineapple pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the pineapple is golden brown and caramelized to your liking.
Serve:
Serve the air fryer pineapple warm as a dessert on its own, or pair it with ice cream, yogurt, or whipped cream for an extra special treat. It’s also great as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal.
