Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Spread refried beans evenly on the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking dish.
Layer the cooked ground beef over the beans, followed by half the shredded cheddar cheese.
Spread salsa evenly over the cheese layer, then add a layer of sour cream.
Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven and garnish with diced green onions, sliced olives, jalapeño, and fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with tortilla chips. Adjust jalapeños according to heat preference. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days.
