Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
Shape the mixture into 18 meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add baked meatballs to the marinara sauce and stir to coat.
Split sub rolls and toast lightly. Place meatballs and sauce onto the rolls, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Place assembled subs on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot and enjoy your delicious meatball subs!
Notes
For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of red pepper flakes before baking the subs.
