Preparation Steps

• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• Beat in the egg, followed by the cocoa powder, and mix well.
• In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the cocoa mixture.
• Scoop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
• Bake for 8-10 minutes, then immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
• Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
