Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with both sugars and oil until well combined. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a fudgier cake, add 0.25 cup melted dark chocolate to the batter before baking.
