Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Unroll crescent roll dough and press firmly into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
Roll the remaining crescent dough into small rolls and place them on top of the cheese layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
