Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
Season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer; cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
Serve the creamy chicken hot with your choice of side dishes.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half, though the sauce will be less thick.
