Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually mix in the flour mixture until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, high-quality chocolate chips and don't overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy.
