Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Fold in the chopped macadamia nuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until cookies are set around the edges and slightly soft in the center.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. They also freeze well for longer storage.
