Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a large bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. This cake also freezes well.
