Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Slice hot dogs into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and mustard until smooth.
Layer half of the hot dog pieces in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the hot dogs.
Top with half the shredded cheddar cheese, pour half the chili over, then repeat the layers.
Sprinkle diced onions on top if using.
Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra zest, drizzle with hot sauce or add jalapeño slices before baking.
