Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cardamom, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter with sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until combined to form a soft dough.
Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set but still soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. These cookies pair wonderfully with chai tea.
