Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Sprinkle garlic powder and a pinch of black pepper over the buttered side.
Top each slice with shredded cheddar cheese.
Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to add sliced tomatoes or herbs on top for extra flavor.
