Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle half the caramel sauce over the batter and swirl with a knife.
Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the caramel sauce, swirling again.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
Notes
Serve blondies warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
