Instructions
Preparation Steps
Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
Add beef stew meat and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
Stir in curry powder and cook for 2 minutes to release aroma.
Add tomato sauce, peas, and diced carrots. Stir to combine.
Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes until meat is tender.
Meanwhile, hollow out the white bread loaf by cutting off the top and scooping out the inside crumbs.
Once the curry is cooked, spoon it generously into the hollowed loaf. Replace the bread top and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve Bunny Chow hot with a side of chutney or fresh salad for a complete meal.
