Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon.
Sift together the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; gradually add this to the wet mixture along with the pumpkin puree and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the dessert to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, drizzle with caramel sauce or top with whipped cream before serving.
