Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the blackberries, granulated sugar, and cornstarch. Toss gently to coat evenly.
Transfer the blackberry mixture to a greased 9-inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter with your fingers or a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
