1cupfrozen mixed vegetablespeas, carrots, corn, etc.
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.
Shape the Patties: Form the mixture into patties (about 4-6 patties depending on your preferred size).
Brown the Patties: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the patties on both sides for about 3-4 minutes each. They don’t need to be fully cooked, as they will finish baking in the oven.
Assemble the Dish: In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, place the browned patties in a single layer.
Add Soup and Broth: In a separate bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Pour this mixture over the patties in the baking dish. Scatter the frozen mixed vegetables over the top.
Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Add Cheese: Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Amish Hamburger Steak Bake with mashed potatoes, rice, or a side salad!
