Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in lemon juice and lemon zest.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with 7 Up soda, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.
0.5 cup 7 Up soda
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
